Oh thank God! I was losing sleep waiting for those Brangelina twins. How is that the top story on the news? Doesn't anyone notice the country is involved in a war? Why is that not the first story every night? I could care less about those two Jolie-Pitts. They are just...... just......ugh. The news should be about what is going on in your local neighborhood or the world. That means no celebrity news. Unless they find a cure for something or they donate to charity. Otherwise Shut up and act!
I wish there was an all happy news channel. That would be great. Stories about good people, doing good deeds. But again, no celebrities. That is not news. The station would have news stories like, kitten gets saved buy local firemen. I would love that. Like the movie Pleasantville. Now I'm not being a Pollyanna. Once in a while it would be nice to watch an all good news program.
Recently in the news here. A man almost raped a hotel worker. He beat her for a half hour before she could brake free and scream for help. Horrible. The headline, that got me to read. Good Samaritan saves women from attacker. Not one word in the article mentioned anyone really helping her. She screamed, someone heard her, called police. The headline was misleading. What about the good Samaritan? The article went on and on, describing exactly how the attacker beat her, for how long and the injuries she received. Bad reporting? What happened to the good Samaritan? I wanted to read about how someone saved her. Actually, I wanted to read how someone beat the attacker/would be rapist, to a pulp. That would be good news! Well...maybe just news.
