Opinions

Anyone who reads my blog gets that the majority of what I talk about is my opinion. Therefore each time I write my opinion I do not have to state so. That being said this is only my opinion about opinions. They are like a** holes everyone has one. Of course you know there is more to this.
I find it completely irritating when someone says, "That's just my opinion", My response would be something like, Well of course it is, I believe it came out of your mouth but thank you for clarifying for me because otherwise I was confused. I do not have the ability to dis cipher between your thoughts and my own. Or something like that.
It is my opinion..... I do not like Facebook, turtlenecks, people dressed like things, guns, mean people, and ect. ect. and I think plastic on furniture is tacky, always. I like, the flower Bird Of Paradise, tattoos, cheese and many more things. To many to go into. You get the picture.
The down side of this is.....What happens if we all go around stating unacceptable opinions, ie., her hair looks funny that color, or you look fat today. It becomes downright hurtful, but does it become more acceptable if we just state,"That's just my opinion"? Nope still hurtful not to mention judgemental.
Now to get to the real point. Earlier today some people in the office were talking about Miss California's statement on gay marriage. Someone said, well that is just her opinion and she has a right to her opinion. Me being the buttinski I am, pointed out that if she were being racist it would be completely frowned upon and no one would be saying that was just her opinion. While it still would be, no one would accept it as a plain old statement of opinion. Yeah.... that stopped the conversation short. I will say to you all who read this, Miss California is an airhead and she should be condemned as anti human, and "That's just my opinion". When are people going to realize? It is not a matter of opinion, as humans we are all equal regardless of religion, color, race, or sexual orientation. Yes one can make as many "opinion statements" they would like, but prove we are different than the next. I dare them.......
