This is why I wish more than two people read my blog. I really spend no time at work working and I seriously think my talents are wasted. I wish I could get paid for my blog but really who am I kidding, again only two people are interested in what I write about.
That being said, it's holiday cookie time and I'm having a hard time deciding what cookies to make. My friend is coming over on the 23rd and we are doing a cookie day. Yay!!! I think we agreed on making 2 types each and I would like to make a Candy. I realized recently I'm really not a cookie maker. I asked my husband about which ones he perfered I make and he couldn't think of one, even after I rattled off the cookies I've made in the past. UGH! So I think I'll make the following, Snowballs, aka Italian Wedding/ Mexican Wedding Cookies and Molasses Crinkles. For my candy I'll make chocolate covered pretzels with dried cherries and mini white chocolate morsels. Of course every year I plan and inevitably a monkey wrench gets thrown in the mix. For instance in the past I needed small pretzel logs and the supermarket was out. As well as not having any white mini morsels. I always manage to improvise and unlike Rachel on Friends, I know there is no meat layer in a trifle. In other words there will not be peas in place of cherries. Please write in about your plans for holiday baking. Happy Holiday Cookie Planning to all.
I agree, only two people read my blog too. Why aren't we public. How did Julie do it? We are writing in good things. Why aren't we out there for others to stumble upon. Helps us Blogger!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think we should make wahtever kind of cookie you want. My husband would like to order those almond cookies you made us a few weeks ago!
I think you should keep writing about food and eventually it will turn into a bestselling book (aka-money) followed by a deal on the Food Network for your own cooking show (aka-more money). A woman I know out here is looking to turn her blog into a book deal so you never know!
ReplyDeleteHappy baking!
I (Jennifer, Cathleen's cous)care about what you write...and I agree with Karin...keep blogging and cooking; Pioneer Woman did it, so can you!
ReplyDeletePS: I'm just creating a blog, will fill you all in when I'm on.
