Hour one with homemade coffee

The coffee does not taste good. I'll get better.
The end of my evening yesterday was spent at my favorite shopping place right now, Target. I was buying for my new greener life. I was able to buy non toxic cleaning products, glass bowls and a stainless steal mug. It's a start.
While I was there though I did notice how empty it seemed. I really think this economy and gas thing is getting to us. Not that anyone around here seems to be driving less. We need to get to and from work, just to pay for gas to get to and from work. The average person drives 17.5 miles one way for their commute. The smaller trips to here and there, add up. I try to do all my errands in one area, at one time, or I stop by a store on my way home from work. Making a list of needs everyday helps me remember where I need to stop. I also try not to leave my town for anything on the weekends. I want to to to start enjoying my hometown more. Right up the street I have a farm market. Last week the sour dough bread from there was amazing. I put my friends' homemade NJ strawberry jam on it. Soooo good.
I would like to try to bike places to save on gas. Unfortunately everything here is a mountain. I for sure, do not have the gas in myself. It would be great to get a bike though. I want one with a basket on it. I see myself crusing down the street with my market purchase and the flowers sticking out of my canves bag. That is if I don't get hit by someone doing 70 in a 35. Helmets don't go with baskets. Oh god, I hear my mom now " you never rode the bike you had". Well that is because the 10 speed was not my style. I'm girly!! I liked the yellow banana seat bike I had when I was 8. My legs grew faster than the rest of me. You get the point. Anyhoo..... try to smile and say hi to one stranger today. You might make their day.
