More on Valentine's Day

I know by the previous post I'm a little jaded about St. Valentine's Day. Yesterday I was sitting with a cup of my new love, The London Fog Latte from Starbucks, surrounded by many books on love at B and N, and I thought..... Why be so cynical about V Day? Well of course for the obvious commercial reasons, but I'm officially changing my thoughts about the day. I'm choosing to see things in a new light. I'm now going to call it Love For Other's Day. No saints involved. I think it is extremely important to share love for one another every day. Love for the one you are with is great too. But I'll be expressing love to everyone I come in contact with tomorrow. Do not get me wrong, I will be doing it silently. Though it would be hysterical to run around telling everyone I love you. Oh the looks I would get. It is Valentine's Day, that is what the day means. Right? So funny. I did go with the rest of the flock and buy a card and a gift, but I did not like it.
