There are so many types of addictions. I decided to write about this subject after talking to a friend last night about the bogus sex addiction "rehab". This post will not be about sex rehab because I could go on and on. Most addictions are diagnosable and have documented treatable results. Sex addiction does not even show up in the psychology handbook for dummies. I jest, but it really isn't a psychological disease. I'm not posting about that either. Unfortunately OCD / hording is a diagnosable as a disease, but not necessarily treatable at a rehab facility. I have yet to see anyone head off to rehab on the AE show Horders.
I will officially say there are no rehabs for my addictions.
Which are as follows:
Zip Loc
Hello Kitty
Cookbooks
Recipes clipped out of magazines
Recipes printed off the Internet
Cooking or Baking magazines
Alcohol ( oh wait..... ) just kidding
Books
Crafts
MAC makeup
Tattoo magazines
Purses
Shoes
I"ll stop there, I just realized I need to see someone for those last two. My point may be that we could call just about anything an addiction. But do we need "rehab" for it?
